How?

The testing is either done on the cyclist's own bike or our 'Wattbike'.

We use the GebioMized saddle pressure monitoring system with 64 pressure sensors as used by Team Cervelo.

We have over 30 different saddle shapes, some are shown here and more are being added all the time, we are open to suggestions for additions to the collection.

Each cyclist has the opportunity to test saddles and see the pressure maps created, for road specific set ups we test with the hands on the bar tops, on the hoods and down on the drops.

Why?

In short, there are too many cyclists who I meet either as a 'Bike Fitter' or just out riding that either assume that saddle discomfort is normal or that have spent too much time and money in search of the right saddle.

Our aim is to help cyclists identify the most suitable saddle shape for them.

What do the results look like?

In addition to the pressure map we look at the cyclist's movement on the saddle with live video of the pressure distribution on the saddle.

This can be in the form of 'isobars'

or in the form of a '3D' map as below.

The basic aim is to help get the saddle in the right position under the cyclist.

Whether on the saddle for minutes or miles sitting on the right saddle in the right place can hep your comfort and enjoyment of cycling.
